On Thursday 13th June Macmillan Cancer Support are taking over the streets of Brighton to help raise money for the vital support they provide to people living with cancer across Sussex, Surrey and Kent.
In Brighton we are incredibly lucky to have the brilliant Mac Horizon Centre who in partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support, the Sussex Cancer Fund and Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust provide holistic care, practical advice and emotional support to people with cancer and their families and carers, but this centre needs funds to continue providing this excellent care.
Therefore, on Thurdsay 13th June there will be an army of volunteers collecting donations all over town, and along with the energetic team at Alive Gym I am getting involved too. Collectively we’ll be donating all our earnings from hair cuts, colours and fitness classes to this brilliant charity, plus Glow Juice Bar will be in force and there will be a cake sale at reception – and a bumper raffle too! (tickets available at Alive Gym reception)
We have all been or will all be affected by this terrible illness at some point in our lives, either getting poorly ourselves or looking after and supporting someone close to us who is, so we need to look out for each other and support this incredible charity who do such an amazing job of looking after us when we need it most.
I’ll keep you up-to-date on the days events on my social media pages, and if you want to donate head over to our Just Giving page.
